About Us
The OIC is the second largest inter-governmental organization after the United Nations which has membership of 57 states spread over four continents. The Organization is the collective voice of the Muslim world and ensuring to safeguard and protect the interests of the Muslim world in the spirit of promoting international peace and harmony among various people of the world. WASH
The Humanitarian Coordination Office-Somalia was in operation since 2011. It was established to coordinate relief efforts during the 2010-11 famine and it showed commitment and high achievements. It works closely with a coalition of 47 members of humanitarian Islamic organizations and other Humanitarian key actors in Somalia. It ensures efficiency in service delivery and elimination of potential overlap through regular information sharing meetings.

Educational projects undertaken during the time focused mainly on the rebuilding schools tendered in by the Ministry of Education. Most of these education projects were opened and handed over to the ministry by OIC. The ceremonies were presided over by high ranking dignitaries who included the Prime Minister, government officials, diplomats and the United Nations. The Department coordinated efforts of a coalition of 47 members. Draughts have subsided, however, the effects have not. Hence, OIC launched in 2013 the Livelihood & VRP Department to respond to recovery and development needs of Somali People. OIC aims at contributing to various areas of development.

The general objective of OIC Health care is to assist and cooperate with the Ministry of Health in recovering of the health service system of Somalia. ,To enable the needy people the access to basic health services and To contribute in reducing infant and maternal morbidity and mortality rates in general and in Children of Under five years in particular.
